Mentalist – the person who knows about you everything

Looking at various posters of series "Mentalist" and, in particular, on a face of the main character, it is difficult to believe that such person can be engaged in investigations of especially serious crimes.

No, well it is serious, a curly fair hair, cute, as if doll, a face, an ulybochka, well where to it in detective stories? Because of the main character when a great number of friends advised me to watch these series, I refused and absolutely in vain. The matter is that sharp mind which can cope with the most complex challenge is behind intelligent appearance and an eternal smile and remember everything, even the smallest, details.

It perfectly defines lie without any equipment, can determine a kind of activity of the killed by only one hand and provoke the criminal to necessary actions. He is it Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), a little excentric, absolutely uncontrollable, but thus extremely charming consultant of the Californian bureau of investigations.

Plot

The subject line of series "Mentalist" can be compared to "Doctor House" or the main character and his team who make investigations, in this case murders is "The theory of lie"-. However there are also some differences in a story from the series given for comparison. First, the central subject line which passes through all series – hunting for the serial maniac by the murderer Bloody John.

Secondly, Patrick Jane, whatever he was a genius, is not the leader of team, and only helps to open affairs in quality of the consultant. Actually a certain symbiosis between the genius of mental work and employees of KBR turns out. On the one hand KBR needs Dzheyn's services as he raises solvability. With another – Mentalist cannot do without the help of Bureau as it needs information on Bloody Jonah.

KBR team

If in other similar series everything keeps only on the main character who solves puzzles then the KBR team and itself perfectly copes with objectives, let and not so effectively as by means of the consultant. The actual leader of team is Theresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), at it under the beginning consist: Kimbiell Cho (Tim Keng), Wayne Rigsbi (Owen Yomen) and Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Rigetti).

And, the part in team with which he perfectly also copes is assigned to each of these characters: Cho is engaged in collecting proofs and interrogations, Rigsbi well understands arsons and explosions, and Van Pelt specializes on data collection in the Network. Each of these characters is perfectly registered and differently treats both the team, and Patrick Dzheyn.

Minor characters and pleasant trifles

Despite abundance in series of minor characters, all of them possess own character and perfectly fit into a narration. You believe each of them that allows to like the atmosphere of series even more. Acting skills and the qualitative scenario do these series so fascinating, and a picture of the world which it represents, complete.

Pleasant additions to all above-mentioned are the confused subject line, qualitative humour, charisma of the main character and emotional development of characters within all 6 seasons. All this is done by "Mentalista" to one of the best detective series shot in recent years so it is worth watching it definitely.
