The noise isolation of walls at a stage of repair can be executed by means of sound-absorbing mineral wool, special wood plates or a sandwich panels. The principle of work of sound-absorbing designs consists in alternation of rigid layers of gypsum cardboard, a gipsovolokn or brick and layers of a soft sound absorber. Each layer reflects part of sound waves, everyone the subsequent – remained. The more than layers – the efficiency of a sound-absorbing design is higher.

It is possible to improve an apartment noise isolation also due to more reliable sealing of joints between walls and a floor, walls and a ceiling, joints between panels. Usual silicone sealant will be suitable for these purposes. Also it is necessary to pay attention and to struts of water supply and heating. If there are cracks between pipes and a wall, through these cracks sounds also get. Therefore all openings and cracks round pipes too should be closed up carefully sealant.

In panel houses often ferroconcrete plates have through openings, specially under electric sockets. In such cases the socket becomes the excellent conductor of noise between the neighboring apartments. As option it is possible to transfer the socket, and an opening to pressurize and cover with solution. But this work demands certain skills of work with electricity therefore it is better to entrust it to professionals. It is possible to soundproof sockets also due to special laying from asbestine fabric or mineral wool.

The apartment from the street or an entrance windows and doors have to protect from extraneous noises reliably. But the design of old wooden windows, first, is not capable to cope with that noise level which is created by the brisk city street, and, secondly, gaps between a window opening in a wall and a window frame in houses of the Soviet construction happen simply huge. The best exit – installation of special noise-insulating double-glazed windows. The technology of a threefold glazing used in such double-glazed windows allows to minimize penetration of noise into the apartment. The gap between a double-glazed window and a wall is carefully pressurized.

With doors the situation is also. The more thickly and massivny a door – the it misses less noise to the apartment. In addition the doorway is condensed with special rubber laying (on all perimeter), the threshold surely becomes, the space between a door box and an aperture is pressurized by cement solution. The door has to adjoin to a box densely.

When in the apartment the sufficient level of a noise isolation is provided, and life becomes more pleasant: noisy neighbors and the alarm system in the yard – now not a problem!
