Pea soup can be cooked differently. Someone adds meat and subfrying it is more, someone likes more fast option. Today we suggest to make incredibly fragrant and nourishing peas soup and smoked products. Here too there is a lot of variations. Everything depends on a choice of these smoked products. Below you will find the recipe with addition of smoked pork brisket.

The recipe of pea soup with smoked products

The main thing governed in preparation of this or any other pea soup — a peas choice. It surely has to be brain grades, it is desirable Dutch. Prepare all necessary products and it is possible to start cooking!

Necessary ingredients:

  • peas integral brain grades — 250 g
  • onions — 1 piece
  • smoked pork brisket — 150 g
  • garlic — 1 clove
  • salt, ground black pepper and fragrant
  • potatoes — 4 pieces
  • bay leaf — 1 piece
  • sunflower oil
  • carrots — 1 piece
  • greens

Way of preparation:

  1. Touch peas and carefully wash out. Wet in cold water and leave for some hours. Periodically change water.
  2. Clear onions and garlic, but do not cut.
  3. Prepare a big pan (3-4 liters), pour in it water, put peas, a garlic glove, a bulb and pepper allspice. Cook about two hours, periodically eliminating foam. Peas have to boil soft and turn into mashed potatoes.
  4. Peel potatoes and cut with small cubes. Grate carrots on a large grater or it is thin cut with straws. Put vegetables in broth, and get a bulb. Add bay leaf, salt, pepper ground pepper and boil 15-20 more minutes.
  5. Cut pork with small oblong slices and fry on vegetable oil. Brisket has to get a ruddy shade.
  6. When potatoes in soup cook, add smoked products, will boil and set aside.

Powder with chopped greens – and the lunch is ready! Bon appetit!

  • the most suitable spices: caraway seeds, basil, curry, Italian herbs, turmeric, dried garlic;
  • besides brisket such smoked products will be suitable for soup: ribs, bacon, cervelat, sausage and even smoked chicken. It is possible even to try to mix some types as experiment.
