The pie of "Mikado" usually consists of 10-12 layers of dough which are missed the mark with refined chocolate cream and condensed milk. Today there are some options of preparation of a dessert. From each other they differ not so much in dough, how many composition of cream and decoration of a finished product.

Pie of "Mikado": present Armenian recipe

This way is considered traditional and the most original to taste.

Necessary ingredients:

Dough

  • wheat flour – 600 gr
  • butter – 125 gr
  • sour cream – 100 gr
  • granulated sugar – 100 gr
  • egg – 1 piece
  • soda – 1/2 ch.l
  • vinegar for clearing
  • salt

Cream

  • dark chocolate – 1 tile
  • butter – 200 gr
  • condensed milk – 1 bank

Step-by-step instruction

  1. For dough carefully to grind the softened butter with sugar and salt, and then there to hammer egg. To add the sour cream and soda extinguished by vinegar once again properly to mix.
  2. To sift a flour through a sieve and to pour into dough. Quickly to knead to uniformity, to cover with food wrap and to put in the refrigerator for about 40 minutes.
  3. For cream in a deep bowl to soften oil and to connect it to boiled condensed milk.
  4. To kindle chocolate on a water bath, to pour to cream and to shake up the mixer.
  5. To divide cool dough on 10-12 equal parts and to roll each of them with a rolling pin in a thin wide cake layer.
  6. To bake in the oven which is previously warmed to 200 °C for 2,5 minutes till gentle gold color.
  7. Accurately to take out, lay out on the prepared tray and plentifully to miss the mark with cream. So to make with all cake layers.
  8. According to the present Armenian recipe the pie of "Mikado" from above and on each side needs to be sprinkled with grated chocolate and to send to the refrigerator to be drawn at least 2 hours. Then it is possible to give on a table.

  3. To pour the flour sifted through a sieve and quickly to knead soft dough. To pack into food wrap and to clean for 1 hour per the refrigerator.

  5. To bake in an oven at a temperature of 180 °C of 6-7 minutes and to pile.
  6. For cream to shake up sugar, sour cream, a dried peel and lemon juice in the mixer.
  7. Plentifully to miss the mark with a sweet stuffing each cake layer and sides of a pie.
  8. To kindle a tile of white chocolate on a water bath together with a small slice of butter. Mix has to turn out rather dense. To fill in with it a top of a pie of the Mikado and to put in the refrigerator for hardening for 3-4 hours.
